It looks like that ginormous Iron Marines content update is now live—a whole day early. You can now play the game’s Borealis update on iOS.

Yacht Club Games has shown off the first footage of the Kratos (from God of War) boss fight in Shovel Knight. It's exclusive to the PS Vita, PS3, and PS4 versions of the game.

It's also a little unfair, really - the fight, not the exclusivity.

I mean, just look at the size comparison in these gifs. Kratos is huge and burly, brandishing the Blades of Chaos, and he's also the slayer of Greek gods.

Shovel Knight has, well, a shovel. That's about it. But I suppose that's what makes the fight worthwhile. Hopefully there'll be a huge sense of achievement after beating Kratos.

Well, that seems to be the case as Yacht Club teased that "Shovel Knight learns a trick or two from Kratos." The studio didn't reveal what these tricks might be.

And, anyway, you'll have to find Kratos first. Apparently, you won't run into him by accident. You'll have to keep an eye out for secrets and "double secrets" to find him on the world map.

Then, of course, you have to beat him. As the gifs show, he attacks with combos on the ground, including a spin attack that fill quarter of the screen. He can also jump up and hit you out of the air.

A man to be feared, then. You'll be able to test your mettle against Kratos when Shovel Knight lands on PS Vita on April 22nd.
